Q.   I'd like to get my new home up as soon as possible.  How do I estimate my desired Completion Date for receiving my panelized shell package?

You will  not want to receive your Redwood & Cedar wall and roof panels, doors and windows until you reach a certain point in your building project.  Your natural woods are safer from the elements if you can schedule your completion and pick-up date to be close to the point in time when you can do your actual on-site assembly.  

There will be some preparation steps in getting to that point of your home shell assembly.  You want to have our shop producing your kit when you are near the end of these first steps that you will be taking:

1. Design and Proposal (design formulation, your review, any revisions, and 1-2 weeks for MFH proposal preparation)
2. Architectural Plans (drafting services, architectural review and plans production: 2- 3 weeks)
3. Building Permit Application process (currently taking 2-3 months in Hawaii County.  We can help you with walk-thru service if you like.)
4. Clearing your lot, and preparing your actual Building Site - house pad.  (You can be doing some of this at the same time as the above steps.)
5. Construction of the Foundation for your new home, according to your architectural plans.
6. Then, you are ready to do your actual Home Shell Assembly...

Regarding # 4 and #5:  These will vary in timing, depending upon the schedule availability of bulldozer and/or your builder.

Please note:   If you will need to apply for Financing of your building project, add approximately 2 months for your lender to  review, process, record and fund your loan.   (You can ask us about our "Track II" program, which can get you started with architectural plans to submit to your lender for your financing process.)
